Staying in the hot seat in metro A new metro station Myakininskaya, which exit will lead to the territory of Crocus City will become a continuation of Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro. Despite the fact that the name "Crocus City" is already familiar to the residents and guests, however, it was decided to give the station a historic name - Myakininskaya. This is explained by the fact that the territory of the complex is located in a geographical area which was called Myakininskaya floodplain a long time ago. Myakininskaya subway station will be the first Moscow Metro station located outside the city limits. It is also noteworthy that for the first time in the history of Russian underground railway building this will be the station built with the participation of private capital: the customer and co-investor of the project is CJSC CROCUS INTERNATIONAL. The station will have three lobbies which will provide two exits directly to the pavement, two exits to the underground pedestrian crossings and two exits to the surfaces passes linked to the exhibition pavilions. Migrating from one platform to another is possible in each of the halls: in the beginning, middle and end of the station. Meanwhile the metrobridge over the Moskva River is being constructed. The trains will bring the passengers from Myakininskaya floodplain to the heavily populated Moscow district Mitino. The Head of Moscow Metro Dmitry Gayev was quoted saying that “a new station will be put in commission in December 2009 or earlier”. The problem of transport accessibility to Crocus Expo will be solved with Myakininskaya metro station being put in commission.
