On April 10 - 13, 2007 Sokolniki Culture & Exhibition Centre in Moscow will host the 5th Jubilee specialized exhibition of analytical equipment, control and measuring devices, laboratory furniture and chemical agents A-TESTex (Analytica). Four previous years the exhibition was held under the name AnalyticaExpo.

We are living in the world of trademarks which surround us everywhere. Using specific brand is a means of positioning. Now it is hard to imagine that there was a time when we knew neither the word "brand" nor its meaning.

In actual marketing glossary rebrandingis changing of name, logotype and visual design of a brand without change to positioning.

Each rebranding sets specific aims. It is motivated mostly by high competition within formed and structured market of any kind of services.

Sometimes rebranding is considered as a mere change of visual imagery and advertising campaign.

Experts say that rebranding means quality alterations in a company in order to influence customer attitude or repositioning for another target audience.
Scientific vocabulary says that rebranding is a change of corporate style. There are two main types of rebranding - change corporative style with possible substitution of name, and second, more radical type - complete re-launching of a trademark.
Anyway this term comprises renewal of brand values (its content). It is a new image philosophy.

As a matter of fact, naming is a second important task after making a product. This is the mission of a specific branch of branding, known as naming.

Brand name reflects individual peculiarities of a product or company, owner's philosophy and marketing policy.
Euphony, expressiveness and brevity.
Comprehensibility for the target audience.
Positive associations, no negative ideas.
It is an advantage if the name is related to a certain commodity group in sense or sounding, setting and defining the further brand life cycle. As the best variant it should get the main advantages of the product over to customers. And finally it must be able to protect a product with regard to patent law.

Brand name or how some marketing experts say - mark naming, plays an important part in making positive customer image of brand being its most significant identification. It refers directly to customer's consciousness, appeals on a point of its vital values.

Therefore up-to-date branding approach means that a good mark naming should be catchy, flexible and distinguished.
